Welcome to Curious Kitty Books!

At Curious Kitty Books I offer several varieties of short stories and writing collections, for children as well as adults.

There are children's books for readers ages 3 to 8, and short stories, poetry, bible study, Christian themes and recipe collections for grown-ups.

I also offer the service of editing and designing your child's short story, poem or song lyric collection into a booklet or greeting card that you can keep or share with friends and family. This is experimental, and later I hope to extend the service to include editing and designing short stories and collections for adults too, but for now I am testing those waters so I'm only offering to do it for kid's books just now.

I love to write. I've been writing poetry and short stories since I was a little kid. My first and favorite hero in the writing world is Dr. Suess. I remember being totally fascinated with his books since finding them in the school library.

My favorite Dr. Suess line rhyme is "One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish," which is part of one of his rhyming collections. Once I read that, and the easy sing-song pattern that his rhymes make, I took off like a rocket, writing rhymes and making greeting cards and short books from them, which I illustrated myself, and gave away as gifts.

When I was a teenager I began writing love poems and songs. Sometimes I'd write about real people, and sometimes I'd write about imaginary ones.

When I became a young adult I was born-again. I loved to study the bible and so over the years I wrote many bible study and other philosophical essays. I always received excellent responses from those I shared them with. Some of the things I wrote became mini books or holiday letters. I've also designed many inspirational greeting cards, too.

I love to write things that encourage people, and build them up. I like to write things that surprise people, or make them think or wonder. A few of my stories and poems are a bit dark, because just once in a while I like to have a little fun exploring different kinds of writing.
